A Princeton graduate and Washington University–trained doctor, Gordon spent over six decades caring for patients as an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist), while quietly nurturing his love of stories, theater, and film.

He served in the U.S. military, acted in community theater, and later reinvented himself on screen and behind the camera as an actor, producer, and writer under the professional name Grant Rivers.

Today, Gordon brings all of that life experience to the page. His writing blends the heart of a healer, the imagination of a filmmaker, and the optimism of a man who believes in second chances at any age. When he’s not writing, he’s developing new film projects, reading widely, and dreaming up the next love story that proves it’s never too late to follow your heart
